Qualification Overview
The Certificate in Advanced Sports Massage is designed to build upon basic massage training and provide Massage Therapists with techniques to make their work more effective over a wide range of conditions. In these workshops, tutor Charles McGrosky will dovetail many years of practitioner experience with information gleaned from numerous workshops and extensive research into athletic injuries.
A certificate will be awarded to those participants who complete all four modules.
Entry Requirements
This course is open to applicants who possess all of the following:
- Massage practice & theory (minimum 70 hours)
- Applied Anatomy (minimum 24 hours)
- Anatomy & Physiology, including muscular/skeletal systems (minimum 65 hours)
Duration of Qualification
The qualification is delivered of 4 weekend workshops in Semester 2 of the academic year.
Module 1: 17th & 18th July 2010, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Module 2: 28th & 29th August 2010, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Module 3: 25th & 26th September 2010, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Module 4: 16th October 2010, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Requirement for an Award
Students must successfully complete all 4 modules in order to meet the requirements for the award of the Certificate in Advanced Sports Massage.
