Qualification Overview
Neuromuscular Therapy is a holistic, specific approach to restore the structural, functional and postural integrity of the body and to address the problem of pain.
NMT is defined as the application of hands and fingers to soft tissue abnormal in texture. The application of NMT allows the full function of muscles and nerves to be re-established. Multiple benefits are achieved by improving nerve impulse transmission, lymphatic and blood circulation and muscle tone.
We are the only institution in the Southern Hemisphere accredited to deliver this course.
Entry Requirements
This course is open to applicants who possess the following:
- Anatomy and Physiology to Diploma level
Duration of Qualification
The qualification is delivered by 4 weekend workshops in the academic year.
2011 dates to be arranged.
All module times are:
Friday: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Requirement for an Award
Students must successfully complete all 4 modules in order to meet the requirements for the award of the Certificate in NeuroMuscular Therapy.
